Description
On most general crowdfunding websites what often happens is that people post their projects and raise funds, but after raising the money the project creators disappear with it without delivering the promised product.
Our solution utilizing blockchain is developing a smart contract that will keep all the money raised by people and when project creators want to make payment to vendors, they need to ask the people to vote on the payment release.
For that, project creators would need to create a spending request for the smart contract to release the payment, then the smart contract creates a yes/no poll that contributors to the project vote on. If the contributors vote yes on the poll, then that money will be transferred directly to the vendor account, not to the project owner account.
This way, we will stop these scams on such websites. This is not possible with regular coding platforms. This can only be achieved with blockchain technology.
This is a very real problem to which we are presenting a solution to in this course.
