The report attributes this optimistic outlook to several factors. These include Bitcoin's strong performance following its halving events and a favorable regulatory environment, which improves economic conditions with lower interest rates.

Steno suggests that political factors may also influence market dynamics. It argues that Donald Trump’s return to the US presidency could favor altcoins over Bitcoin.

According to Steno, Trump's policies are likely to boost on-chain activity, which benefits platforms like Ethereum and Solana SOL $125.08 .

Furthermore, institutional interest is expected to play a big role, with large investments flowing into US-based Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Steno projects these ETFs will see inflows of $48 billion for Bitcoin and $28.5 billion for Ethereum.

Ethereum is expected to perform well, with the ETH/BTC ratio projected to double from 0.035 to at least 0.06. This may reduce Bitcoin’s market dominance from 57% to 45%, which allows for a rise in alternative cryptocurrencies, or “altcoins”.
