Uniswap Labs shared a teaser on X on January 2, a simple image of the year “2025” with the caption “v4 is coming soon”. However, no specific release date was mentioned.
Uniswap v4 promises to bring important changes to the platform. One key feature is the introduction of Hooks, which lets developers add custom functionality to trades. This will enable advanced tools like limit orders, fee customization, and automated liquidity management.

The development of v4 has been a prolonged process. Initially, the team announced in February 2024 that v4 would launch in the third quarter of the year following Ethereum
