Let's talk about a person who's pretty much the embodiment of this meme:

An investor bought nearly 97K Ether (ETH) for $151M at around $1.5K per coin during the 2022 bear market. And you know what a bear market means—panic, more panic, maybe a tear or two, and sell-offs… well, for most people, but not this investor. They chose to HODL.

And look at them today—two years later, when the price of ETH jumped to around $3K, they've made a $131M profit.

Why bring this up? This situation is the perfect example of how crypto, despite short-term volatility, has the potential to outperform traditional asset classes over time.

Oh, speaking of Ethereum Ws, a documentary about Ethereum's co-founder Vitalik Buterin, Vitalik: An Ethereum Story, is officially out, with the on-chain stream available until October 20 this year.

🐹 From running wheels to crypto

Dogs and cats have already had their moments to shine in crypto. Now stop! Hamster time.

These rodents are the main characters of the viral clicker game on Telegram called Hamster Kombat, which lets players live a fantasy in which they are CEOs of crypto exchanges, making decisions on marketing, getting licenses, handling KYC, etc.

This Friday, the game's launching its HMSTR token, and everyone was hyped after hearing that 60B out of the 100B total supply would be airdropped to players.

Except, over the weekend, the devs dropped some details about the airdrop that caught the users off guard:

- Players can only claim 88.75% of their tokens right away, while the remaining 11.25% will be locked until July 2025;
- Out of the game's huge base of 300M users, only 129M will be eligible. Around 2.3M players were disqualified for cheating, and they were not happy (even started the #BoycottHamster hashtag on X).

Either way, although the new deets might've made one or two (or a hundred) million people pissed, the token launch is bound to bring even more buzz to Hamster Kombat.
