Scott Martin, also known as "Burnt Toast" in the digital art industry, has stepped in as the new CEO of Doodles, an Ethereum
Martin takes over from Julian Holguin, a former Billboard executive.
He shared his vision in a January 28 post on X, saying, “We’re moving to a vision with a strong bias for risk, disruption, radical transparency and the authenticity that made us who we are in the first place”.

This leadership change follows a trend seen in other NFT companies, such as Yuga Labs, the team behind Bored Ape Yacht Club, and Cool Cats, where corporate executives were replaced with founders who are more involved in the NFT and crypto industry.
Martin echoed this shift by stating:
Execution isn’t just code or partnerships—it’s culture too. The extractive corpo era of Doodles is over.
During Holguin’s time as CEO, Doodles partnered with major brands like McDonald's and Adidas. The project also worked closely with musician Pharrell Williams, who remains in his role as chief brand officer despite the leadership change.
Martin hinted that new developments are on the way while details about upcoming plans have not been shared. He said, “We thank Julian for his contributions to the Doodles' legacy. But enough talk. Let’s cook. Big things are coming”.
