Crypto influencer Wendy O shared the video on X, writing, "The future of Ethereum is in this man’s hands... Meow".

An X user with over 500,000 followers also posted the clip and said, "Pray for our ETH bags". Another X user wrote, "Sure, the man is free to do whatever he wants, why should we care, why should we care, however, the fact that a vast majority of my investment relies on this guy is making me a bit stressed".

Many users who commented on the video mentioned holding Ethereum in their portfolios. Their reactions were not just about the video itself—Ethereum’s value compared to Bitcoin BTC $84,825.14 is currently the lowest it has been in nearly five years, which adds to the tension.

So far, Buterin has not said anything publicly about the video.
