Florida’s governor has proposed plans to allow citizens to pay their taxes in cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.
Based on a news report by Invezz, the Florida state will be looking at ways to implement Bitcoin payments for services, specifically taxes. At an event held on March 21st, the Governor of Florida Ron DeSantis signed a bill regarding the financial literacy of high school students.
During the speech, he mentioned that Florida is also working on implementing blockchain technologies, especially crypto payments for goods and services, and urged government figures to find out if businesses would be interested "to pay tax in cryptocurrency to Florida."
