Luxury fashion icon Gucci announced its partnership with digital collectibles creator Superplastic to release a new NFT collection called SuperGucci.
Since NFTs already reached the music industry, and some of the largest automotive companies, it seems that fashion and clothing brands are breaching in for their piece of the non-fungible token pie.
The SuperGucci project will feature a collection of limited CryptoJanky NFTs and their respective hand-made sculptures. Both the digital and physical collectible items will have Gucci’s signature symbols and patterns that are "reinterpreted through the lens of SUPERPLASTIC synthetic celebrities and artists, Janky & Guggimon."

In fact, according to SuperGucci’s post, Alessandro Michele, who is the Head of Design for Gucci, will have a hand in NFT design, while the sculptures will be created by Gucci’s own ceramicists in Italy.
There will be a total of 250 SuperGucci NFTs, eligible to mint through the Gucci Vault and Superplastic’s website. The first batch of SuperGucci NFTs will be dropped on February 1st, 2022.
While there have already been NFTs with exclusive rewards, the SuperGucci collection may be one of the first collaborative digital assets projects that give users physical representations of their NFTs.
