Libragate Hits Hard: Support for Javier Milei Drops in New Survey

A recent poll suggests that many Argentinians have lost trust in President Javier Milei following his connections to the $4.6 billion LIBRA token scandal, also known as Libragate.

According to research by Zuban Córdoba, 57.6% of the 1,600 people surveyed said they do not trust him, while 36% said they still support him. The rest, 6.4%, were unsure.

The researchers noted that negative views of the president are growing steadily and show no sign of slowing down. They added that the public mood has clearly shifted, with more political problems now being noticed by the public.

The poll was carried out from March 12 to 14 and has a 95% confidence level, with a margin of error of 2.45%.

Other signs of public opinion—like how people view his image and the way he runs the country—have also dropped. For example, approval of his overall management went from 47.3% in November 2024 to 41.6% in March 2025.

However, a poll by Morning Consult, held from February 27 to March 5, reported that President Milei had a 62.4% approval rating during that time.

Despite falling trust in some areas, President Milei’s political group, La Libertad Avanza, remains in a strong position ahead of the next election. It currently holds the support of 36.7% of likely voters. Its main rival, Unión por la Patria, has 32.5%.

Meanwhile, Burwick Law has recently filed a class-action lawsuit against the developers of the LIBRA token. What are the details? Read the full story.
