Perplexity AI, an artificial intelligence (AI) search engine, has announced a million-dollar Super Bowl sweepstakes, giving users a chance to win big by asking questions during the February 9 matchup between Kansas City and Philadelphia.
The sweepstakes is designed to bring more people to the platform. Participants need to download the app, refer friends, and use the search tool during the game. Each action earns entries, with a maximum of 26 per person. The winner will be randomly selected an hour after the final whistle.
Additionally, entrants must be US residents aged 18 or older. Perplexity AI has made it easy to join by launching a website with a QR code that leads directly to the app download.

Perplexity AI has been growing fast. A recent report from Business of Apps showed that its monthly users jumped from 10 million to 15 million in just three months, reaching that milestone in January 2025. This sweepstakes is part of its effort to keep that momentum going.
While no other AI companies are running similar promotions, major tech firms are expected to showcase AI in their Super Bowl ads. According to Polymarket, betting data suggests that Google will be one of them.
On January 30, Google confirmed its plans, stating: “We’re running 50 commercials profiling 50 small businesses using AI to get more done—one from every state.”
Meanwhile, OpenAI recently launched a new ChatGPT feature running on its latest model, OpenAI o3. What is it? Read the full story.
