Zentry introduced Ragnarok Landverse in September 2023, which quickly gained traction, particularly in Southeast Asia. It generated nearly $19 million in revenue with more than 400,000 players.
Despite this success, Ragnarok Landverse: Genesis will not be a sequel to the original Landverse servers. Instead, it will offer a fresh start for players. Ronin clarified on X:
This is a fresh new experience exclusively available on Ronin. Today, Ragnarok Landverse has other live servers and legions of players. These servers will also migrate to Ronin at a later date.
Zentry will act as a node validator within the Ronin ecosystem. Additionally, it plans to connect its ZENT token to Ronin and launch liquidity pools on Katana
Ragnarok Online was launched in 2002 by Gravity, a South Korean game developer. It became a global hit, earning over $2 billion in revenue and amassing more than 100 million players.
