The Bitcoin Hunt event will mark the long-term partnership between the Southampton Football Club and crypto-focused betting platform Sportsbet.
As sports teams venture into the crypto environment, Southampton FC will give fans a chance to win 1 BTC with its latest Bitcoin Hunt event.
According to the official post by the soccer team, 10 finalists will be chosen to participate in the final to win the grand prize. In order to participate, players need to search areas around Southampton and look for QR codes.

After scanning the code, players will receive "a special message from a Saints legend, with limited edition branded cards that will be dotted around the city to collect."
In fact, Saints is a nickname given to the Southampton Football Club due to its history of being a church football team.
Later on, the second round will include a "fiendish blockchain-style puzzle" where players will need to find clues related to the changes of Southampton’s sports apparel, also known as player kits. Players will need to secure over 35k points in order to have a chance at participating in the final.
The third round will require players to navigate through Southampton’s social media accounts, and look for hidden Bitcoin images.
The Grand Final will feature the 10 chosen players who will be invited to the St. Mary’s Home Stadium of Southampton FC.
