What is AirDAO (AMB)?
AirDAO is a decentralized autonomous organization that governs the Ambrosus chain. The latter is a blockchain network built for the industrial management of supply chains, sensing devices, and smart cities. The network is open-sourced, allowing developers to employ their creativity to build various solutions. Ambrosus aims to spearhead secure, transparent, and integral data management across various industries. The project combines blockchain with the internet of things (IoT) to offer entrepreneurs, industries, and businesses a framework for managing and sharing data securely and efficiently.
It's important to note that, previously, AirDAO was known simply as Ambrosus. However, in 2022, it rebranded to AirDAO. The project still includes the Ambrosus chain and AMB token in addition to many other Web3 products that will come in the future. The AirDAO crypto project team presents it as "The Apple of Web3".
As mentioned before, IoT devices are a significant part of the Ambrosus ecosystem. These devices include sensors, trackers, and tags that allow physical monitoring of products as they move along the supply chain. IoT devices also convey product information to manufacturers and consumers.
AirDAO employs various distributed technologies to transmit information from IoT devices to the blockchain ledger. The protocol has three main components:
- Measurement Repository, which is a database management component for recording and storing specific information about products. It allows accurate tracking within the supply chain.
- The Requirement smart contract, which is used to define quality control standards for products registered in the Measurement Repository. The smart contracts determine whether the products are meeting the customer’s quality assurance requirements or not.
- Ambrosus token (AMB), which is an ERC-20 token that powers the network's activities. Check the AMB price in the live AirDAO price chart above.
Besides that, Ambrosus also offers a Javascript interface for developers to create API solutions, secure data storage, supply chain traceability, the Proof of Origin protocol, and other features.
Use Cases of AMB Tokens
AMB is a multi-utility token for the AirDAO crypto project. The token collects and transmits data to Ambrosus Network. The blockchain also uses the token to track products.
Moreover, AirDAO coin supports transactions and fee payments on the protocol.
Furthermore, AMB can also be locked to create a digital record of a physical asset. This mechanism reduces incentives for bad actors engaging in fraud within the network.
Also, AMB holders can lock a portion of their tokens to run Masternode on AMB-NET. Validators earn a portion of the network’s fees.
Lastly, AMB tokens can be staked in the AirDAO staking platform to earn rewards.
The token is available for purchase on popular exchanges. Use the live AirDAO price chart above to analyze the AMB price and make an informed purchase decision. It's important to do that because AMB tokens may vary, as crypto is always volatile.
Who Founded Ambrosus?
Angel Versetti and Stefan Meyer co-founded Ambrosus in 2017. The two founders have deep knowledge and experience in cryptocurrency, programming, sensors, microelectronics, and investments. The project has partnered with reputable institutions such as the United Nations and EIT Food Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.
