What is the Forta (FORT)?

Forta is a real-time monitoring platform for blockchain safety and operational control. It is a community-based network with its native token FORT that is based on the Ethereum network. Forta detects risks and abnormalities in real-time on different systems. When given timely and appropriate notifications concerning the safety and integrity of owned or dependent systems, protocols and shareholders may move rapidly to neutralize risks and prevent or minimize financial damage.

Forta's decentralized platform allows developers to build machine learning frameworks and surveillance bots that may be used to spot suspicious activity in every blockchain transaction. Forta is protected and managed using smart contracts and the FORT Token.

Use Cases of FORT Tokens

Forta uses a work token paradigm to assure the validity and reliability of the information given by the network. Thus, node operators must stake FORT coins to transmit real-time safety and operational data to the system. Also, anybody can stake FORT coins to indicate detection bot effectiveness in the network. Additionally, developers can stake FORT coins on bots, signifying bot performance to the network and offering a Sybil resistance function.

Besides that, FORT holders can contribute to the governance of Forta. This means they can decide on the future development of the Forta crypto project.

Who Founded Forta?

Jonathan Roberts is the founder and COO of the Forta crypto platform. However, there’s no additional information available on the Forta website or the founder’s LinkedIn page.

Tokenomics of FORT

The max supply of FORT crypto assets is 1 billion.

45.5% of the total supply is allotted to the FORT Community, which is held by the Forta Foundation and does not offer a distribution schedule. Out of this portion, 39.1% remain unallocated while Node Runners get 0.2%. Also, 4.0% was dedicated to airdrops and about 2.2% to bot developers, staffers, and other participants.

The other 54.5% are allocated to three different groups. 24.5% is distributed among backers who provided financing, networking, and other kinds of support during the development and early phases of Forta. Next were Initial Core Contributors with a 20% share in FORT holdings. They are a group of creative minds with expertise in different areas who work at OpenZeppellin. OpenZppellin is the parent company and the incubator of Forta, holding the remaining 10% of the total supply.
