What Is Gods Unchained (GODS)?

The game has a free-to-play model for novice players who do not want to spend any money on the game. The model allows users to earn new cards simply by playing. Though there is also the option for players to purchase packs or individual cards on the Gods Unchained marketplace.

Besides, Gods Unchained gives players full ownership of their items, which is not the case with most card games. Thus, Gods Unchained card holders can do whatever they want with their cards, including trading them with others or selling them.

The game also differs from most other card games because, rather than being focused on luck, Gods Unchained is based on strategical logic. The main task of the players is to smartly build their card decks in order to outwit their opponents.

Who Founded Gods Unchained?

The God Unchained crypto project was founded by Chris Clay, James Ferguson, and Robbie Ferguson.

Chris Clay is the game director of Gods Unchained. He was working with Turbine for almost 15 years, rising from Technical Artist to Lead Game Designer. Clay worked on such games as Lord of the Rings Online, Infinite Crisis, Asheron's Call, etc. After that, he worked at Wizards of the Coast as a game director for Magic: the Gathering Arena, as well as a senior game designer at Vicarious Visions. Additionally, Clay taught an advanced game design course at Champlain College for almost a year and a half.

James Ferguson is the CEO of Immutable. Prior to being a part of the Gods Unchained founding team, Ferguson co-founded Rivlr and Shopyak, as well as was the lead front-end developer at Appliances Online. Besides, he was titled as Forbes 30 Under 30.

Robbie Ferguson is the co-founder and the president of Immutable. Before founding Immutable, Robbie Ferguson was a data and blockchain analyst at KPMG Australia. As of writing this, he is also a member of YPO Sydney Pacific and a fellow of the Thiel Foundation. Additionally, together with his brother, Robbie Ferguson also got nominated as Forbes 30 Under 30.

The Purpose of GODS Tokens

GODS tokens are based on the ERC-20 token standard. Primarily, they are used to reward Gods Unchained players. Moreover, they can be used to craft new NFT cards at the Forge and make any in-game purchases. In addition to that, GODS grant token holders governance rights.

The max supply of Gods Unchained tokens is 500 million. This means that, once the circulating supply reaches the max supply, GODS price might increase. A portion of GODS supply was sold during a public sale, while the remaining portion was split between developers and set aside for rewarding players.
