What is Grid+ (GRID)?
GRID is the native token of Grid+, a blockchain platform that provides a reliable and secure network for the global energy sector. Grid+ creates both hardware and software products that operate together to control power loads and simplify energy trades.
As a web-based network gateway, the GridPlus Smart Agent is the foundation of the hardware stack. To store tokens, control energy consumption, and handle energy-related transactions, each Smart Agent runs an Ethereum light client. Grid+ offers the platform to streamline the use of digital assets while using the Lattice1 hardware wallet as the foundational element of its initiatives.
The Lattice1 represents an entirely novel approach to digital asset hardware wallets. It's an ultra-secure always-on gadget intended to survive physical infiltration attempts by state-level attackers. It also includes electrically separated secure and ordinary computing environments. In other words, it combines a simple mini-computer with a next-gen hardware wallet, both managed by an intuitive touchscreen.
Besides the Lattice1 wallet, Grid+ also provides users with SafeCards. They can safely store their seeds on PIN-protected cards that can also serve as extra wallets thanks to this technology. So, every SafeCard, which resembles a conventional credit or debit card, is simply a physical bearer of an HD wallet seed.
Use Cases of GRID
In essence, Grid+ aims to leverage the GRID coin to serve a vast network of applications made available by the platform. However, besides that, GRID tokens can be used as a payment method within the platform, as well as outside of it. For example, GRID can be used to cover bills or purchase energy. Additionally, it can be used like most crypto assets – traded on exchanges for other assets.
