As discussed in the What is Mines of Dalarnia section, DAR is the native token of the Mines of Dalarnia gaming platform. This means that crypto rewards are paid out to players in the form of DAR, which can then be traded to other digital currencies or fiat.
There are 3 core gameplay elements - mining, gathering resources, and battling.
Mines of Dalarnia has 2 game modes:
- Mining is a type of 2D side-scrolling game during which players mine and collect minerals. There are 4 types of minerals based on rarity, including Falun Copper, Iron Ore, and Silver Ore. Miners must upgrade their equipment in order to progress to other mine levels. They can also encounter monsters when mining, which they have to defeat to increase their high score and resume the mining process;
- Land Management is another type of gameplay on Mines of Dalarnia. Since mines are located on plots of land, landowners can lease their land to players who want to mine. Moreover, owners can customize the tax rate on all mined resources. Leasing land rewards owners with a Rent Fee, which is paid out by the renting player in the form of DAR tokens. It’s important to note that owners of inactive plots of land will be penalized while active ones will receive rewards.
Moreover, Mines of Dalarnia comes with a marketplace that allows players to buy, sell, trade, and rent in-game items. This means that anything that the players collect in the mines can be turned into a real income.
Miners of Dalarnia is running on the Ethereum network and BNB Chain that’s responsible for procedurally generating in-game levels. It operates using a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism.
One of the primary goals of this project is to introduce regular people to the world of blockchain via a fun gaming experience and a strong in-game community.
