What is MovieBloc?
The MovieBloc token or MBL is the native token powering MovieBloc. The latter is a blockchain-based video content platform.
MBL mainly serves as an incentive for various actions on the MovieBloc platform such as translating, writing reviews, and reporting video content that does not follow the guidelines.
However, it has a few other use cases. The MovieBloc token functions as a medium of exchange on the platform that allows transactions between different parties.
In addition, the MovieBloc token is needed for users who want to access premium content.
There is a max cap of 30,000,000,000 MBL tokens. They have been distributed as follows:
- 43% - Ecosystem;
- 15% - Team;
- 11% - Airdrop;
- 10% - MBL Foundation;
- 10% - ONT Foundation;
- 8% - IEO;
- 3% - Private Sale.

What are the Main Features of MovieBloc?
As discussed in the What is MovieBloc section, MovieBloc is a completely decentralized platform for video content distribution such as short films. Anyone can publish their video content on MovieBloc.
One of the primary goals of the project is to give all creators equal opportunities to showcase their work and make an income.
There are over 100 films hosted on MovieBloc.
Creators aren’t the only ones who can earn crypto rewards on MovieBloc. Users who translate and add subtitles to video content available on MovieBloc are rewarded with the MovieBloc coin.
Additionally, video content on MovieBloc is advertised by curators.
MovieBloc has obtained another blockchain-based company called Cobak. It also has launched another project - MBL Media.
Who Developed MovieBloc?
The MovieBloc crypto project was launched in 2019. It’s a South Korean blockchain company co-founded by entrepreneurs Chris Kang and Peter Kim who currently take the roles of CEO and CSO of MovieBloc respectively.
