What is My Neighbor Alice?
The My Neighbor Alice token, or ALICE, is the official currency powering My Neighbor Alice - a massive multiplayer Play-to-Earn game powered by blockchain technologies.
ALICE is based on an ERC-20 token standard. It’s a token with a wide range of utilities. Starting from the basics, the My Neighbor Alice token serves as a medium of exchange needed to participate in the game’s economy. This means that ALICE is necessary to purchase in-game digital assets such as houses, animals, decorations, and land.
When it comes to gameplay, the My Neighbor Alice token is paid out as a reward for successfully completing quests and similar in-game actions.
ALICE holders can stake their tokens and earn rewards. These rewards come from the revenue generated by My Neighbor Alice.
Furthermore, ALICE serves as a governance token. In essence, it allows users to be part of the Community Council - a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) responsible for the future of the My Neighbor Alice crypto project - by voting on proposals submitted by the community.
Participation in governance will be encouraged via crypto-based incentives.
There is a max cap of 100,000,000 My Neighbor Alice tokens. They have been allocated as follows:
- 21% - Token Sale;
- 20% - Staking Rewards;
- 16% - Ecosystem;
- 15% - Team and Advisors;
- 15% - Community and Marketing;
- 8% - Platform Rewards;
- 5% - User Incentive.
Since ALICE is a cryptocurrency, its price tends to fluctuate. That's why it's important to track the coin or token before making any decisions. Our tracker above will let you have a more in-depth look at the ALICE price history, or the current My Neighbor Alice price.
What are the Main Features of My Neighbor Alice?
My Neighbor Alice is a blockchain-based multiplayer building game in which players interact with the world through customizable avatars. It’s deployed on the Layer 1 Chromia blockchain and built using the Unity game engine.
One of the primary goals of the project is to build a massive multiplayer open-world game.
There are 3 core gameplay modes within the game - building, collecting, and social interactions.
One of the main inspirations for My Neighbor Alice is Animal Crossing - a massively successful open-world game with building and social functions. Stardew Valley, Minecraft, Townscraper, and Pettson och Findus also served as creative inspiration for My Neighbor Alice.
There are 6 islands within the My Neighbor Alice virtual world. They include Snowflake Island, Medieval Plains, Nature’s Rest, Lummestad, Sandy Coast, and Submerged Islands.
Players can choose to buy a plot of land on one of these virtual islands. They’re sold by Alice herself or can be purchased via the in-game marketplace with ALICE tokens.
These plots of land come in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). In addition, players can customize their land by purchasing in-game items such as houses, trees, flowers, lakes, and other landscape items.
Additionally, in-game items can be transferred to major blockchains such as Ethereum and BNB Chain.
While My Neighbor Alice is a blockchain-based game, players don’t need to have any kind of technical blockchain knowledge to play. In fact, they can choose not to interact with blockchain-based actions at all.
As discussed in the What is My Neighbor Alice section, the P2E system is one of the core features of the game. It allows players to be rewarded with crypto for simple gameplay. In other words, it turns the gaming experience into means to earn passive income.
Most importantly, My Neighbor Alice is completely free to play.
The core competitors of My Neighbor Alice include Axie Infinity, Sandbox, and Decentraland.
