What is Pintu Token?
Pintu is a blockchain-based ecosystem that facilitates cryptocurrency trading, transfers, and storage. It is powered by the Pintu token (PTU). The currency's purpose is twofold: to incentivize existing Pintu platform users, and to attract new users to the expanding ecosystem.
Pintu is the first mobile app in Indonesia that intends to enable users to purchase crypto assets using traditional cash (Rupiah). It aims to bring the massive retail sector into the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Users of Pintu can make trades from their bank accounts or digital wallets with no transaction fees.
Use Cases of Pintu Tokens
The PTU token has a number of different use cases that make it an essential tool for businesses and individuals alike.
Primarily, as mentioned before, Pintu tokens are used to reward platform users.
Moreover, PTU can be used to purchase goods and services within the Pintu ecosystem, which has a growing number of businesses and developers that accept PTU tokens.
Besides that, PTU crypto assets can be staked to generate rewards.

Who Founded Pintu?
Jeth Soetoyo is the founder and current chief executive officer of Pintu. Formerly employed at ConsenSys, Soetoyo has an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Talking about other leading team members, Albert Widiatmoko is in charge of all technological aspects of Pintu, while Andrew Adjiputro runs the project as COO.
The project was launched to the public on November 25, 2021.
Tokenomics of PTU
The max supply of Pintu tokens is 299,844,842.
Each month, a certain amount of PTU tokens gets burned. This amount is equal to between 0.01% and 0.03% of the total value in the Rupiah of all assets that were traded using the Pintu application. The purpose of this practice is to ensure that the supply does not overcome the demand, which would have a negative impact on the PTU price.
Though the burns will stop after around 20% of the total supply of PTU is released into circulation.
